I mean in my mind it had to have a meaning so that I could go into a trance. o have to put on a bikini and dance with a snake that’s 11 feet long and make it organic? I went to the extent that I created a relationship with this snake. So Hayek came up with a strategy to overcome her fear for the scene. Hayek said she told Tarantino that she couldn’t dance with a snake because of that, who, according to Hayek, said that Madonna would be up for it if she wasn’t. When asked to be in the film by Tarantino, he revealed that the dance scene would include an 11-foot snake, which would be a bit of a problem for Hayek considering her fear of snakes. Apparently for Salma Hayek, preparing for her role as Santanico Pandemonium required a bit of hypnosis.
